Civitan Dedicates Building to
Dr. & Mrs. Dixon

Dr. and Mrs. Don and Evelyn Dixon were recognized by the Civitan Services staff and Board of Directors for a lifetime of service to the Benton Civitan Club on July 25th.  The newest addition to the Civitan Center at 121 Cox Street in Benton was named after the Dixons in honor of the couple’s many years of service to men, women and children in Saline County with developmental disabilities.

Civitan Services was founded in 1958 by the original members of the Benton Civitan Club including Dr. and Mrs. Dixon.  The new addition is a 4600 square foot adult workshop where men and women with developmental disabilities participate in job skill training activities and arts and crafts.

Note:  Dr. Dixon has since passed away, but his love and kindness will always be part of  Civitan Services.
