Day Treatment Program

Adult Development Day Treatment Program

Civitan Services' Adult Development Day Treatment (ADDT) Program allows adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) to maximize their abilities while focusing on skills to live, work and contribute as they desire within our community. Our classes are taught by direct care professionals and instruction is based on goals and objectives that will enable an individual to maximize their independence.

Civitan Services is unique because we support our clients with a personal touch in a positive and caring environment. A relationship of love and trust has always existed between our staff and those we serve because every person is treated as an individual with respect and dignity.

A variety of classes are offered to meet the needs of the individual at their current functioning level. An Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) is created with goals and objectives that are unique to the individual served. Health and safety concerns, along with behavioral needs, are taken into account when creating the ITP. Our classes are designed to assist the individual in becoming as independent as possible.

Civitan Services uses the latest software technology to monitor and assess the progress of each person. Our staff has the ability to document daily activities, track progress related to the Individual Treatment Plan and analyze effective learning methods. This information is used to ensure that each person is learning the skills necessary to accomplish his or her personal goals and objectives.

A list of monthly activities that are occurring in our ADDT program is given to each participant. This gives everyone: staff, individuals served and families, the opportunity to prepare, look forward to and participate in special activities throughout the year.

Meals

On a daily basis, breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are prepared and served to each individual with the objective of providing one nutritious meal per individual at each meal service. Civitan Services assures that all individuals will be offered the same meals with no separate charge or any physical segregation of or discrimination against any individual based on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

Individual participant’s income will be collected yearly to ensure all participants are reported in the correct eligibility category. Regardless of the income eligibility, Civitan Services provides these meals at no cost to the individual in accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Weekly menus are available for the individuals to choose whether they would like a meal or bring their own. Civitan Services will work with the individual and their families with specialized diets, but they must be prescribed by the individual’s primary care physician.

Personal Care & Medical Needs

Because Civitan Services focuses on development of the whole person, services such as toileting, grooming, medication assistance, eating assistance and exercise routines are provided for individuals who require additional care. A licensed nurse and certified nursing assistance/personal care aides are on staff to assist in meeting these basic needs of the individuals we serve.

Therapy Services

Individuals with a doctor’s prescription and funding for therapy can receive speech, occupational or physical therapy on campus. For those needing mental health services, contract therapists from The Counseling Clinic also visit our campus.

Transportation

Civitan Services provides transportation for those individuals living in Saline County and the surrounding area. We partner with South Central Arkansas Transportation (SCAT) to help transport individuals through established routes. For those living outside the designated routes, transportation can also be contracted with private agencies/contractors. Transportation requests will be coordinated at the time of intake. Families can also drop off their family member, if this is easier for them.
