In partnership with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS), individuals build workplace readiness skills and connect with real job opportunities. Supported Employment provides supports for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) to work in a job of their choice.

An extensive profile is developed to determine the skills, abilities and desires of the individual. After generating the profile, job development is conducted to match the needs of the individual with that of an employer. When a job match is made, a Civitan Services Job Coach will train the person at the job site in accordance to the specifications of the employer.
Our job coaches invest time in building strong, meaningful relationships with business owners and managers throughout the community. These connections ensure that our clients have safe, supportive workplaces and that we maintain open, reliable lines of communication with employers at all times.
We’re committed to helping our clients thrive and succeed by partnering with a wide range of businesses, including retail stores, convenience stores, food service providers, daycares, catering companies, and many more.
This service has been successful both nationally and in Arkansas to assist many people with severe disabilities to gain successful or meaningful employment.
Attention Employers: We are always looking for new partnerships around Saline County. We collaborate closely with employers and provide ongoing support—including a dedicated job coach—to ensure a smooth transition into the workforce. Our past and present partners have all found it to be a rewarding experience and often a very beneficial one for businesses. Please consider opening your hearts and doors to our clients.
